Parish Background

Holy Trinity Church was co-founded by working-class communities of Belorussians and Serbs, and unto 1990 bore the name "Russian-Serbian Orthodox Church." Without a priest and amlost closed in the late eighties, the parish was revived with mission funding and has since grown to be a diverse community of about 70 adult members, of Palestinian, Greek, Serbian, Russian and non-ethnic background. The liturgical language is English; liturgical customs reflect the varied heritage of the congregation. A. monthly adult study group meets in parish homes, and a church school operates on Saturdays before Vespers. The Church is affiliated with our neighborhood food shelf, hosts a Hmong boy scout group, and participates in a variety of neighborhood initiatives.
