The Plato The Student Protest gathering started at 14:00 today at the Plato. The crowd gradually increased in number to reach around 5000 students at 16:00. The program at the Plato started a little late this time allowing more space for music. The usual banners and flags bearing School amblems coloured the scenery. A few guests spoke to the crowd after which the announcer informed the students of the march route. |

The "Walk" Today's walk led the students through Terazije and down Prizrenska and Brankova street towards Branko's bridge. The procession increased in size on this part of the rute since many bystanders joined it to take part in the Protest walk. After the usual shake on the bridge we continued towards Usce (the mouth of the Danube and Sava rivers). The plan for today was to plant a plum tree symbolising the unity of all the people of Serbia. It was planted near the tree planted by the students on the 7. December which someone, shamelessly, cut down. We also launched a small ship carrying a flag with a red star and a toy doll representing our Chancellor. The message of this action was a farewell to our (ex)Chancellor. After half an hour the students turned back towards the town centre and arrived at the Plato at 18:30. |
