The Main Board of the Student Protest 96/97 appeals to all citizens to avoid all contact with the policemen in the cordons which have been violating the right of citizens to move freely for six days now, breaking in that way one of constitutional rights. By refusing to communicate with the policemen, citizens should express their protest against the brutal police interventions during the past few days.

The police has been blocking off Kolarceva street for days, not letting the students of Belgrade Universities pass. We therefore call upon all citizens not to do anything to make it easier or more pleasant for the police to stand in cordons. Let us turn our backs on them.
