At the meeting of the Deans, held on February 12th 1997, two items on the agenda were discusses: the present situation regarding the lectures and the convocation of the Assembly of the University Professors.

The attitude of the Dean Council is that the conduction of the lex specialis will mean the fulfillment of the first demand of the students. The deans are hoping that all the demands will be fulfilled by February 24th so the lectures can commence.

Following this, the plan of the Law on the University, proposed by the Initiative Board for the Defence of Democracy was taken into consideration. Some alterations, which will be presented at the Assembly of the University Professors, were suggested.
